Anne McDermott is a writer, public relations specialist and music industry veteran and has worked with a host of luminaries such as hip hop royalty Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip and Missy Elliott, jazz impresario George Wein and his legendary Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals as well as his autobiography, guitar hero Chris Whitley and the “Big Man,” saxophonist, Clarence Clemons, among many others.

As versatile as she is talented, she writes results oriented communications materials and copy, and has studied humor, sketch comedy and creative writing at various New York City institutions. Her essays have appeared in NY Press, and her solo show Temp to Perm was developed with award winning comedic playwright Matt Hoverman. Anne is currently working on a memoir entitled, “Ladies Sit With Their Legs Crossed.”
